Gravity Drinks

We were approached by Gravity Drinks who are an Importer and Distributor of premium spirits from around the world. They work with innovative brands who create something with just a touch of quirkiness. You will definitely know what I am referring to when you see the product and the box. Gravity Drinks had a requirement for 100,000 Gin Bottle boxes over 4 orders. They had the artwork and dimensions already to hand and they knew it needed to be made from Folding Box Board with a tuck end carton with envelope style base. They had a strong vision of what they wanted from this project and how the packaging should look.

The early stages of this project started with correspondence over the phone and email and we sent them pricing and a few ideas of previously manufactured samples. Within two weeks we had Gravity drinks visit our office, they brought samples of the content with them which is always great so we can see what we are working with.  This meant we could check the size of the bottles against the packaging requirements and with this we were able to produce samples to suit the content whilst the client was on-site. They were so excited by our ability to do this, so we spent a couple of hours making changes and testing alternative options until they were 100% happy with the packaging solution. It was a very productive meeting and we love being able to show them what we can do. Gravity told us they visited 6 companies in total and picked us out to be the best fit for their business.

They provided us with the art work within the templates provided, at this point we did advise to test that the barcode would scan before we went to printing stage. This is just because we have tested barcodes in the past which haven’t worked.

We made some recommendations for an envelope style base to reduce the cost per unit but Gravity drinks had a very strong idea that they wanted a crash-lock base on the carton. The box you see is a 608 Micron White Back Folding Box Board printed in full colour (over 3 designs) and finished with a Gloss Film Lamination and Crash Lock Gluing.

These Nostalgic gin flavours of Cotton Candy, Parma Violet and Strawberries and Cream are available from Amazon and Costco. Be sure to add one in your basket!
