SILKUP
We were approached in early January by a project manager from SILKUP who was looking for a packaging, fulfilment and a warehousing solution and ideally with a local company.
From the initial meeting we were introduced to their product, the Luna hair wrap, this hair wrap gives all the benefits of mulberry silk on the hair while you sleep. They protect your hair from friction and preserves your style AND what I really liked was that it extends the time between washes for all those super busy ladies out there. We’ve all been there with the dry shampoo but that’s a story for another time.
What’s pretty interesting about the Luna hair wrap is it’s been curated by a team of colleagues who all have varying hair type and textures and have come up with a solution to care for all hair types.
SILKUP had their product, and now needed the packaging to compliment it. They expressed it was super important to them that the packaging was environmentally friendly so we made this key to the solution. We providing two different size options and quoted for 2000, 5000 and 10,000 and provided a prototype. They decided one size was suitable for both hair wrap sizes available and were thrilled with the finish of the letter box friendly sized box. The box was litho laminated e flute corrugated finished in Fedrigoni Perla (Light Grey) with a black gloss foil for the SILKUP logo to the outside with litho printed black text on white for the inside of the box.
All the artwork templates were with us early February and we set to production of 2,000 boxes, since the client required a full in-house service for their product, we are involved in the ongoing fulfilment and distribution. Meaning that the client saved money on shipping costs. These boxes were made in 2 weeks from the day art work templates were received.
