Gorilla Spirits Gin Safari
Our existing customer Gorilla Spirits Co. approached us with a requirement for a bespoke gift packaging solution for a presentation box for a Gin Safari, the contents being a trio of 10cl size glass gin bottles.
If you haven’t heard of Gorilla Spirits, let me give you a little taste of what they are about. Based in Hampshire, Gorilla Spirits distillery in Upton Grey is where they make their small-batch, award-winning spirits. They donate £1 from every bottle to The Gorilla Organization. They have their own gin school if you fancied creating your own gin or attending a cocktail master class, it’s a perfect gift for any gin lover!
As the project developed the client decided to include two other spirit gift sets, the Maraba which is their Coffee Liqueur and if coffee’s not your thing then try the Karisimbi which is their spiced rum. Both gift sets come with matching flavoured chocolate truffles both homemade by a local chocolatier. The perfect partner for your tipple and all the while supporting small businesses.
With these new additions to the project it meant we had to adapt the cutting forme to allow for the 2 new variants of internal fitments and we also changed the sheet size on which we printed the sleeves to ensure we could yield the required variants in a single pass on the Spot UV machine thus reducing make ready and set-up costs. The sleeves were printed in full colour with a matt film lamination and spot UV.
The artwork was provided to us but we had to make a number of tweaks before it was ‘print ready’. Attention to detail is paramount in all instances. We worked with our client to ensure the final product is as required before the green light was pressed. Although the planning took many months once the design was set, manufacturing only took a few weeks. Our skill set doesn’t stop at design we always consider how the desired solution can be manufactured in the most cost effective way meaning less waste. We were able to offer a full wrap around solution to this project and we managed the fulfilment of the content and boxes.
We produced enough packaging for three different presentation sets; 500 units of Gin Safari, 250 units of Karisimbi Spiced Rum and 250 units of Maraba Coffee Liquer. These are already selling fast so be quick.
